On October 10, 2025, following 3 CubeSats were successfully deployed from the Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) "Kibo":
  • YOTSUBA-KULOVER *
  • e-kagaku-1 *
  • BOTAN *

* Since May 2018, as a new step to enhance the commercial utilization of Kibo, JAXA selected Space BD Inc. and Mitsui Bussan Aerospace Co., Ltd. as the J-SSOD service provider.

【Satellite】 YOTSUBA-KULOVER [Size: 2U]
【Organizations】 Kyushu Institute of Technology
【Service Provider】 Space BD Inc.
【Mission】
  • Observation of geomagnetic micro-variations to estimate the three-dimensional current systems and their structures during geomagnetic storms and auroral substorms.
  • Imaging of auroras using compact cameras, with analysis of temporal variations in brightness and morphological structures.
  • Investigation of the correspondence between magnetospheric currents and auroral emissions through comparative analysis of magnetic field data and auroral imagery.
  • Research and development of a low-magnetic deployable mechanism aimed at suppressing magnetic interference for high-precision satellite-based magnetic field observations.
