CCE Outline

Chamber for Combustion Experiment (CCE) is one of the components of MSPR for the researcher who is interseted in the combustion experiment in ISS. CCE is used inside the MSPR Work Volume (WV) and will be stowed inside ‘KIBO’ module.

Experiment Equipment will be installed inside the CCE after removing the top panel of CCE. Electric power, communication, gas-supply and evacuation resources are available inside the CCE through air proof connectors from Work Volume of MSPR.

Safety issues such as toxic gas, high temperature, explosion exist during the combustion experiments, researchers should fulfill the safety requirements of ISS. Using the CCE, researcher can conduct the combustion experiment easily, while the CCE is the air tight chamber so that it can mitigates the safety requirements.
