Area PADLES 3

The third Area PADLES dosimeter was launched onto the ISS by the STS-128 Space Shuttle Discovery. From this time, five Area PADLES dosimeters were added to Experiment Logistics Module-Pressurized Section (ELM-PS).

The third dosimeters, newly installed and uninstalled, measured the dose for eight months.

NASA astronaut Nicole Passonno Stott installed the Area PADLES 3 dosimeter in Kibo.

Exp PADLES

Exp PADLES dosimeter for technology development experiments to see the incident direction (direction dependence) and radiation exposure dose of radioactivity of the space radiation was launched with the Area PADLES 3 dosimeter. It was a cube composed of six Area PADLES dosimeter and attached to zenith region of the ELM-PS. It measured the dose of about eight months as well as the Area PADLES 3.
